RPET stands for Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate, which is simply a recycled PET material made from recycled PET materials (such as mineral water bottles, beverage bottles, PET films, etc.) that have been processed and remade.
1. The core characteristics of RPET
Outstanding environmental attributes: It can reduce pollution caused by plastic waste landfill and incineration, reduce dependence on non renewable resources such as oil, and conform to the concept of "circular economy".
Performance close to native PET: After processing through cleaning, crushing, granulation and other processes, RPET has little difference in strength, heat resistance, transparency and other aspects compared to native PET, which can meet various usage needs.
Widely applicable scenarios: commonly used in textile (making recycled fabrics, such as sportswear and backpacks), packaging (food contact level must meet safety standards, such as recycled PET bottles), home textiles (pillows, curtains), automotive interiors, and other fields.
2. Simple production process
Recycling: Collect discarded PET products (mainly PET bottles);
Preprocessing: Remove impurities such as bottle caps and labels, clean and crush into fragments;
Processing: Melting, filtering, and granulating the fragments to produce RPET particles;
Reuse: RPET particles are produced into new products through processes such as blow molding and spinning.
